Artemisia
Artemisia annua, commonly known as "Annual Mugwort", is a plant with recognised medicinal properties. This plant has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine, and more recently in the treatment of malaria thanks to its active compound, artemisinin.
At our centre, we use Artemisia as an intravenous infusion, enabling it to be absorbed directly and rapidly into the bloodstream. The therapy process begins with a detailed assessment of the patient, which will enable us to define the appropriate treatment programme.
BENEFITS OF ARTEMISIA INFUSION THERAPY
Artemisia annua has a wide range of therapeutic actions. By activating certain metabolic pathways, it has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antimicrobial action. What's more, the artemisinin molecule it contains has anti-malarial and anti-cancer properties, the latter of which is currently the subject of a great deal of research. So by using artemisinin directly in the bloodstream, we are making the most of its potential.
Indications :
- Infectious diseases: Thanks to its antiviral and antimicrobial properties, Artemisia can help in the treatment of various infections. It can be very useful in Lyme disease.
- Immune disorders: Its ability to modulate the immune response may be beneficial in the treatment of certain autoimmune diseases.
- Cancer: Artemisinin, the active compound in Artemisia, is being studied for its anti-cancer properties.
- Inflammatory diseases: Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, Artemisia can help manage various inflammatory conditions.
THERAPY PROCESS
Artemisia is administered by infusion, a process which allows these beneficial molecules to be released directly into the circulatory system for maximum assimilation. Depending on the patient's condition and the aims of the treatment, the duration and frequency of each infusion may vary. It is essential to note that prior consultation with a doctor is necessary to establish an individualised treatment protocol..
